Situated on the North Wales coastline to the west of Conwy, Penmaenmawr beach is sandy at low tide, with stones and pebbles forming the upper bay area. The beach area extends for over half a mile, with rocks and coastal defences at its outer edges. There are landscaped terraces, flower borders and grassed areas, a cafeteria, amusement arcades and beach chalets for hire. Children have access to an outdoor paddling pool and play area. There’s also windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. Blue Flag and Seaside Award beach. All the facilities of the small town are close at hand. Dog restrictions apply from May to end September.
