Visit our mill museum where we manufacture Welsh tapestry bedspreads, travelling rugs and tweeds from the raw wool using electricity generated on site. Our pure wool products together with garments, accessories and homewares made up in our fabrics can be purchased in our shop. We also stock pure wool knitwear and sheepskin goods. The shop and turbine house are open Monday – Saturday all year (except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day) plus Sundays from Easter – end October. Weaving can be viewed Monday – Friday (except Bank Holidays) 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. from February 22nd 2017 to mid December. Extra machinery e.g. carding engines, spinning mules, doubling and hanking machines and warping mill can be viewed Monday – Friday (except Bank Holidays) April 10th – October 27th 2017. Hand-spinning demonstration, “try hand-weaving yourself” on a small hand loom April 17th, 19th and 20th 2017, May 29th & 31st 2017, August 28th 2017 and Wednesday and Thursday June – end September 2017. Rag rug making techniques demonstrated on April 18th 2017, May 30th 2017 and Tuesdays from June – end September 2017. The Weaver’s Garden (June – September) contains labeled plants associated with textiles (i.e. they supply fibres, natural dyes, soaps, moth repellents or textile tools). Admission free.
